(MNN/ODM) — Reports are flooding in left and right claiming that the Chibok girls Boko Haram captured in April 2014 are being forced into service by the militants.
On April 14th, 2014, a group of pickup trucks came to Chibok, in Northern Nigeria and made off with almost 300 girls between the ages 16 and 20. Even today, only 43 of the 275 girls have been freed.

Now, according to numerous sources, they’re being brainwashed into servitude. Some witnesses say the girls are being forced to torture and terrorize the other captives, and a few say they’re even carrying out the executions.
Although the testimonies can’t be verified, witnesses who were supposedly held in the same camps as the kidnapped girls say the Chibok girls carry out the various punishments issued by the Boko Haram.
Even though the claims can’t be confirmed, Open Doors Ministries thinks the testimonies are definitely in line with Boko Haram practices.
Those in captivity often face constant violence, not to mention forced participation, conversion, marriages and pregnancies. Beatings, torture and rape are commonplace in the militant camps, and the traumatized victims who do manage to escape face long and painful recovery.
Open Doors workers are doing what they can to help, but they have limited contact with victims and escapees of the Boko Haram camps. They’re partnering with local churches when they canto provide strength, support, supplies and assistance to persecuted Christians in Northern Nigeria.
Some of the programs they’re working with include training seminars, Bible distributions, work with Christian schools, trauma counseling, legal assistance and implementation of socio-economic projects for new believers and widows of Christian martyrs.
Nigeria is in the top ten for countries with most persecution against Christians, and Open Doors needs your prayers for the thousands of captives under Boko Haram control.
Do well to pray along with us and share this Post to others. Jesus loves you! thanks
